THE BOSS

He has a doctor and a lawyer and a dentist and a shrink,.
an agent, an accountant, and a pastor.
he has a bombshell of a secretary who can almost think,
and a wife who always tells him to run faster.

His answering machines and his computers run his show
as he listens to the members of the board.
Because even though as chairman he's supposed to always know,
it's difficult to keep it in accord.

He sips his dry martinis and has quick and clever ways
Recruit More Distributors
to line his nose with dots of snow-white powder.
His shrink endorses anything that's popular these days,
and his doctor is too old to speak up louder.

His press agent and travel agent send him on their trips.
He jets around the globe till he gets dizzy.
His stockbroker calls frequently at 3 AM with tips
but finds his private line is always busy.

Interstate computers dispatch call girls for his needs;
he likes them after three or four martinis.
But his wife has private agencies with confidential leads,
and she can prove his prints on their bikinis.

She has a doctor and a lawyer and a dentist and a shrink,
an agent, an accountant, and a pastor.
She has a bombshell of a secretary who can almost think,
and a husband who is always running faster.

Her answering machines and her computers run her show
as she listens to the verdict from the judge.
Triumphantly she stares at him who is supposed to know,
but the object is a stiff that doesn't budge.
