Holy Joe

Joe turned from his infirmity
and studied God´s eternity.
With thoughts fixed on divinity,
he brooded on infinity.

His mind devout on piety,
he scolded at society.
He asked who by insanity,
idolatry and profanity
would fall from immortality
through shameless immorality??!!

The Lord told Joe with clarity:
Your thoughts are sheer vulgarity!
You assume, without humility,
your own invincibility!»

Joe figured immortality
was based on some legality.
Today, in his vicinity,
Joe's a Doctor of Divinity.
